UPDATE OCTOBER 10, 2013: THIS HACK IS NOT WORKING ANYMORE. BROWSE COMMENTS FOR MY EXPLANATION

So recently someone asked me if I know anything about restoring facebook accounts. She said facebook kind of locked her account. She added that she could still use her login credentials to login to facebook but after the login page she is greeted by a certain account verification process. She described it as identifying your friends on photos. I told her that i haven’t encountered anything like that. I asked her if she violated any of the facebooks terms and she said maybe. She said maybe because she used a false name and that maybe because she carelessly confirm friend requests even to people she does not personally know. So being the IT guy I told her i’ll see what i can do but i won’t promise anything. I saw the worry on her face and the look of regret for losing a good year of data when she heard what i said.

Ok, so what I did is, just like everyone else(yes, you got it) I googled about it. I was surprise that there are a LOT of people complaining about this. Some reasoned that they have like 5000 friends and that they can’t memorize the faces of them all. Some also said the pictures that facebook asked to be indentified are not faces but places or things which of course makes it impossible for a user to identify. So to cut the long story short, I have not found any solution online. I’m not sure though, maybe it’s not just my google day. You know there are days which you are lucky to find quickly the solution using google and there are days that no matter what you do it’s not just there.

I don’t want to disappoint her. I need to think of a way to beat facebook’s system. While at the same time the pessimistic side of me kept saying that facebooks system is fool proof. I took it as a challenge. It was a good mind boggling problem solving session. I then formulate an approach and then because i know how to code I used it to my advantage. So if you ask me if I beat that feature of facebook, I can proudly say yes.

How did I do it? firstly, i won’t post it in this public blog at this very moment. Why? it might jeopardize the approach that I have formulated. Worst, they might block again the account and do that photo verification thing and this time without the loophole. So yes, you just have to take my word for it. But I tell you at this point in time I really feel proud, like really really proud. I can’t imagine beating that facebook security feature.

Ok here’s the deal. If you really want to test this approach I will need to beta test it. Because cialis without prescription my approach may only work on that particular account and I want to make sure first that it can work on different accounts. If somehow i can confirm that it can work to atleast 10 different accounts then i will gladly post what I did here. Afterwhich i am sure that the facebook team will fix it before we knew it and this post will become useless. well not after people will acknowledge that I really beat that feature. Ok so for your part, if you have an account that you think is forever gone because you can not bypass that feature of facebook then this is your chance to recover it. Nothing to lose. You are in a win-win situation. Also be sure that that particular account is nothing really serious or something very personal, I don’t want to get into privacy problems. So what do I need from you? 2 things. First your facebook login credentials. Make sure that you can still login on facebook using that credentials and do the friends identification feature if not then it’s hopeless or maybe you just forgot your password. Second is the email login credentials of that facebook account. Again i will stress out that if this account is something very personal do not send it to me. I don’t want to be charged like “oh i gave you my email and you hack the life out of me”. So only send if 1) this facebook account is just your alternate account or a second account 2) if the email you are using with this account is not tied up with important things. 3) If possible this email add is of Gmail(will make things a lot easier!).

OK so how do you send your credentials to me? Email it to me at localhost@programmer.net. On the subject line write “FB UNLOCK” then on the body write your facebook login credentials and your email account credentials to which this blocked facebook account is tied to. After emailing me if possible post a comment on this blog stating that you have emailed me so i can quicly work on it.
Will I ask for payment? hell no. all I ask is just comment in this blog that I unlocked your account or if you have a blog write something about this.
How long will it take? If after a good 24 hours i can’t still unblock it or bypass the image verification then i will tell you or if I can’t email you then consider it that I fail then you can start bashing this blog post and state how fake this is and some form of scam.

So that’s all regarding this blog post and hey if you are a member of a facebook team and wants to challenge me then go send me a test account to unblock and If i succeed i’ll show you what I did so you can patch it. 🙂

    I secured my account yesterday and I cant change my Facebook password because its saying enter your unlock code sent by email or mobile but I no longer have access to my Facebook mobile number and I didnt get a unlock code in any of my email address so if you could please help me regain access to my Facebook page.

      yours seems to be a different case, I only managed to solve the ones where facebook marks an account as fake and ask them to identify their friends photos.

    Hi Everyone!

    bad news, this hack does not work anymore, remember before facebook offers like a name of 5 friends where you will just choose the correct name using radio button? Now they changed it to a dropdown method where all of your friends name are possible answer. There is no way we can automate this since the number of possible answers have dramitically multiplied, unlike before where there is only 5.

    now what i did before was query the profile URLs of all of your friends using the notification on your mailboxes, then getting the 5 friends name and looking it up on the database of profile urls then have them open on the tag photo section of your friends. this are all done via script and all you have to do is compare the shown pictures with the pool of pictures that my script generated. Now this is not possible at all. facebook might have seen this scenario and thus decided to make the dropdown. The programmers over there turns out not as dumb as I thought 🙂

    hi marco, my account been block too.. by this verification…
    but i;ve google, and found at using m.facebook.com on your browser will open a “mobile type” of facebook, and during the verification, it only prompt 5 name of your friend. i think your way of scripting it still could be used, but i’ve check the image ID shown are different from the /xxxxxxxxx_111111111111_xxxxxxxxx

    using the facebook.com/111111111111 still can’t detect where the picture coming from…

    can u help me too?

    I ran into this ad below. I used it and it actually worked. However, I dont think many people will pay $19.99 for it. I only did it because I needed my account. I built a huge fan base of years and wasnt going to start from scratch again. Hope this helps yall

    Guys as much as i want to help all of you and be proud that i have beaten facebook’s security, the truth is the devs there just won’t allow it. just days after posting this the glitch no longer worked. anyways if you are a dev and want to beat it, read my post on how i was able to beat it before when the options include only 5 users.

    WOW. IT’S AMAZING I’M STILL GETTING LOADS OF REQUEST ON HOW TO UNLOCK THEIR FACEBOOK ACCOUNTS. DID YOU GUYS EVEN READ THE ARTICLE????

    I HIGHLIGHTED IT IN BOLD RED LETTERS THAT FACEBOOK ALREADY CHANGED THE SYSTEM.

    THERE ARE GUYS SAYING THEY CAN UNLOCK IT FOR A FEE BUT I DOUBT IT.
