Last Dec. 30, just a day before the dawn of 2009. I went to Irvin’s apartment located near piapi area. The place is great as it was located on a top floor of a condo bldg. with a very nice scenery over looking the busy streets of the downtown area just looming from your point of view of the horizon. I guess it would be more pretty to have seen it in the morning, though at night the glaring lights from nearby structures would add glamor to the view. Overall the place is great and in there i can sense freedom and comfortabilty sitting and relaxing on an elevated spot in downtown davao.

So, too much of my adjectives, okay okay. So we had some drinks. Irvin’s housemates we’re still at a religious thanksgiving celebration at another friends house so it was just a one on one with the classical drink called the “red horse” (how did it become classical? LOL ). So just catching up on hows life has been and the normal chit chat typical on some drinking sessions. But we’re not talking nonsense. This guys are the ones that even though the beer will make em tipsy they can still come up with intelligent conversation without appearing to be wasted and that’s whats great about them.

And then, time flies, of course when your drinking you’ll everytime forget and lost track of time. Then the other friends arrived. Padz - the brilliant programmer, Candy - a.ka. Mamu and Padz’s bride-to-be also working online. One by one they arrived and it was really a joy to see all of them again. Man it was a long time since I last seen them. It’s safe to say that i missed em without sounding gay. LOL! Then arrived Lare - web developer, Raymund - a.k.a Bon2 designer/web developer, and Julius working as an IT expert in the Executive dept of some Company. And the gang is complete at least for those who are around.

So the great thing about it is, julius brought in some pizza. and i have to be honest it was my first time eating those square pizza (damn i must be living under a rock!). It was really delicious. I really thanked them guys who chipped in for it. I wish i could’ve but all I got is P50, sorry guys.

It was like an american style party wherein the beer always comes with a box of pizza. I was just so glad being there with them. On that note, i didnt hesitate taking lots of pics as it would be something memorable at least for me. LOL. them guys wont consider it as they see each other on the daily basis. Except for Julius and Bon2 who are working in the Luzon and Visayas area respectively.

So in short, it was a very fun way of celebrating Rizal Day. Afterall, I think i still commemorated Rizal on that particular evening by having his memorabila in my pocket. What else? a one peso coin!
